Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu: Iranian Regime Must Not Acquire Nuclear Weapons

Jerusalem, Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel, in coordination with the United States, has launched a joint operation aimed at countering what he described as an “existential threat” from Iran’s leadership.

In a public address, Netanyahu said Israel and the US had “embarked on an operation to remove the existential threat posed by the terrorist regime in Iran,” and thanked Donald Trump for what he called “historic leadership.”

The Israeli prime minister accused Iran’s ruling establishment of pursuing nuclear weapons and supporting regional violence. “This murderous terrorist regime must not be armed with nuclear weapons that would allow it to threaten all of humanity,” he said.

Netanyahu referred to the mission as Operation “The Roar of the Lion”, urging Israeli citizens to follow instructions from the Home Front Command and prepare for possible escalation in the coming days. “Together we will stand, together we will fight, and together we will ensure the eternity of Israel,” he stated.

Addressing the people of Iran directly, Netanyahu called on various ethnic groups — including Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Baluchis, and Ahwazis — to oppose what he described as tyranny and seek a “free and peaceful Iran.”

The statement marks a significant development in already heightened tensions between Israel and Iran. There has been no immediate response from Iranian authorities, and further details about the scope and nature of the operation have not yet been officially disclosed.

The situation remains fluid as the international community watches closely for potential regional repercussions.
